Booster Club Meeting Minutes 4-6-2011

1. Meeting was called to order at 7:15pm. There were 10 people in attendence (Susan Lisheron, Julie, Loera, Mary Henderson, Dolly Prince, Marisela and Roberto Delgato, Ken Reed, Brenda Schmitt, Michelle Orlando and Kris Bloomfield).
2. Last months minutes were presented and approved.
3. Treasurer's Report:
   
1. Car wash - $1,352.08 was deposited from the car wash from the sales of coffee, t-shirts and car wash sales.
   
2. Coffee Fundraiser – over $1,000 has been made on the coffee sales, there are still prepurchased bags that need to be sold.
   Julie went over the financial summary for the year.
4. Old Business
   
1. Booster Club membership – Cover by Kris Bloomfield. There are 7 Varsity players that did not join, 6 JVA and 8 JVB players families who did not join the booster club. There are a total of 61 players between the 3 teams and 21 did not join (we had 2/3 join).
   
2. Banquet-
   
• A deposit of $750 was given to Creekside and we will pay the balance following the banquet. The fee is $15.00 per person. The Booster Club will cover the cost for the players, manager an coaches.
  
• Scholarships were discussed- the committee is checking on qualifications. It was decided that there would be a budget of $2,100 to be used for scholarships. Julie Orlando will type up the letters and cert. And present them at the banquet.
  
• Coaches Gift- It was decided to stick with the same amounts that had been given the previous year. $500.00 was the amount given between the two coaches.
  
• Help for Banquet:
  
• Dessert assignments has been taken care of by Kris Bloomfield
  
• Coach Miller will bring the screen from school for slide presentation.
  
• Anna Thompson and Susan Lisheron will show up early to help Kris Bloomfield set up decorations. The plan is to meet at 5:30pm.
  
• Julie Loera has the program and will type and print and bring to the banquet.
  
• Have players get word out to other players that we have not heard from yet.
  
• Susan Lisheron will check with all involved on video/slideshow to make sure we are covered on all. Susan Lisheron will also do a JVA video as there is not one be prepared.
5. New Business:
   
1. All uniforms are to be turned into coaches ASAP. When they have all been collected, Brenda Schmitt will embrodier the numbers on the bags.
   
2. Coach Miller needs $1,000. for new coats next year. We need to set aside the money for that. There was some discussion as to checking with coach as to exactly where what kind the coats are and how much they cost. Some members were curious as to exactly how it works for coach to get new equipment. Susan Lisheron will check with coach.
   
3. There was some discussion of possibly changing the scholarship bi-laws for next year. It will have to be discussed in a later meeting.
6. Officer Elections for 2011-2012
   
1. A motion was made to elect the following people for office next year:
   President: Kris Bloomfield
   Co – Vice President: Anna Thompson and Ken Reed
   Treasure: Julie Loera
   Secretary: This position is currently open.
7. Next Meeting Date: May 4th, 2011 (if needed)
