Booster Club Meeting Minutes 12-16-2009

Present: David Luttrell, Susan Lisheron, Terrie Marquette, Mike Jones, Linda Gibeaut, Roberto Delgado, Jim Ammenheuser, Suzanna Ammenheuser

President David Luttrell called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm.
The minutes from the last meeting November 18, 2009 were reviewed and approved by the membership.
Treasurers Report
- There are currently 27 members that have paid for $1,200.00 total.
- All scholarships have been paid out.
- There is $1,000.00 budgeted for Coach Miller for uniforms.
- After review of the treasurer’s report a motion was made and approved by the membership to accept the report.
Coach’s Comments
- Coach would like to remind players that they need to turn in the $50 refundable check to hold for uniforms.
- There will be a scrimmage on Jan. 2, 2010 for the JV and Varsity teams in Dripping Springs at 9am and 11am. Players will provide their own transportation. There will be a practice on Jan. 4, 2010 for all teams.
- The game schedules are posted on the website.
- An updated roster will be posted soon with uniform numbers also.
- Robert Delgado asks that he be given all player information from the coach’s uniform information sheets.
Old Business
1. The 3v3 tournament has been cancelled due to lack of sign up. We discussed maybe trying to schedule again in the spring.
2. Susan Lisheron reports that the membership numbers are as follows: 27 (31 families) out of roster of 66 players. Varsity has 10 out of 26, JVA has 11 out of 23, and JVB has 6 out of 17.
3. For the calendar there has been one ad sold from Maria, 3 possible renewals from Mike, one possible of Soccer Zone from Noel. The ads are $75.00 and will also be on the website. David (Blake) will check with Yagi’s Pizza. We need to set up a time to take the team pictures for the calendar. Anyone with ad leads can contact Mike Jones.
4. Concessions are still set to open per the contract AISD has with concession company.
5. Scholarship application will be amended to add service hours done by the players. We are asking for 4 hours per year with a sign in sheet at all soccer fundraisers. David will work on the wording for the application. Linda Gibeaut has offered to help on the scholarship committee.
6. Uniform distribution - Trish is looking into bag tags for easy identification during games to help keep uniform parts from getting mixed up.
New Business
1. Due to the schedule, the Homecoming game and senior night may need to be the same night. An email will be sent out to poll players to see who will be in town on the last home game which is the Friday before Spring Break. We would like all seniors to be at this game so they may be recognized.
2. For the spring fundraiser, David has been informed by the school accountant that we can have our fundraisers whenever we want, they don’t have to be spread out over the year.
