Bowie Boys Soccer
Booster Club Meeting Minutes 12-1-2010

1. Opening: At 7:00pm, the meeting was called to order by Susan Lisheron. There were 10 people in attendance (Michelle Orlando, Trish Broz, Brenda Schmitt, Maria Paredes, Kris Bloomfield, Susan Lisheron, Roberto Delgado, Lisa Munden, Julie Loera, and Coach Sam Miller).
   
2. Coaches Report: Coach Miller commented that this was the toughest year for competition with all new try-outs. The try-out proces took much longer than usual do to the competition. 1st cut posted on Thursday, Dec. 2nd, and final cuts would be Dec. 6th. The final number of players should be V-24, JVA 22 and JVB 18. Coach Miller will continue to coach varsity and Coach Pitman will coach JVA and Coach Lewis (who is new to the soccer program this year) will be helping out as needed with the JV teams. Coach Miller discussed the new uniforms and the upcoming season.
   
3. Treasurers Report: Maria Paredes reported that nothing had been changed on the financials since the last meeting, so nothing there to report. Maria also mentioned that only 3 ads have been sold for the fund raising calendar, so 7 ads still need to be sold.
   
4. Old Business:
   
1. Fall Fundraiser: Julie Loera talked about the coffee fundraiser and plans to sell coffee at various locations. It was also discussed that the players would each sell 5 bags before Christmas break.
   
2. Pizza Party: Kris Bloomfield reported that a few more items were needed for donations for pizza party. The set up and needs were discussed.
   
3. Hoodies and T-Shirts: There was a discussion to place a new order for t-shirts and hoddies. It was decided that there would be orders available at the Pizza Party for Parents and players to place orders. A new item that will also be available is fleece Jackets.
   
5. 5. Closing: At 8:10 pm. The meeting was brought to a close by Susan Lisheron.
