Relying time after time on a quick transition from defense to offense to keep Smithson Valley off balance, the Bowie Bulldogs Junior Varsity rode a single goal by freshman striker Skyler Cortez to a win Monday night. Skylers’ goal came at 26:10 in the second half, punctuating a pressing offense that fired frequent and ringing shots on goal, including sophomore striker Alex Castros smash that hit the right post in the first half and sophomore forward Michael Munden’s free kick rocket that hit the crossbar in the second half.
